The Mara Foundation
The Mara Foundation & Lifeline Ukraine
The Mara Foundation was set up in 1993 to bring humanitarian aid to countries in former Yugoslavia. It has been active since then. In early 2022, the Mara foundation teamed up with Lifeline Ukraine. LifeLine Ukraine was set up by a number of entrepreneurs to set up a trustworthy and sustainable weekly transport and controlled supply chain for a local team in Ukraine. With this unique collaboration, we can provide real-time needs and demands to the conflict zone where it is needed most.
Supplies are transported in 21-ton trucks from the Netherlands to warehouses controlled by LifeLine on both the Polish and Ukrainian sides of the border, on a weekly basis. Updates regarding these weekly transports can be found on https://www.stichtingmara.nl/projecten/oekraine
