Vereniging Rembrandt

If you care about art

Fifteen thousand art lovers together, that’s the Rembrandt Association. For 133 years, individual patronage has been committed to the enhancement and protection of the Netherlands Collection. We feel it is important for future generations to be able to experience high quality art in the Netherlands. Therefore, we support Dutch museums to make important art purchases and make the case for the preservation of the public art collection. Since its inception in 1883, the Rembrandt Association has contributed to the purchase of many important and essential works that are since then accessible to the public. Think of the Johannes Vermeer Milkmaid in 1908, The Peddler of Hieronymus Bosch in 1931 and La Perruche et la sirène by Henri Matisse in 1967.
