No poverty and zero hunger
The Tilburg University Fund supports research initiatives such as the Zero Poverty Lab and the Zero Hunger Lab, which contribute directly to the first two Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations: #1 No Poverty and #2 Zero Hunger. The Zero Poverty Lab applies research and social innovation to reduce poverty and inequality, and to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty, thereby empowering policymakers and organizations to create sustainable change. Meanwhile, in collaboration with organizations like the UN World Food Programme, the Zero Hunger Lab uses data science to strengthen sustainable food security and reduce famine risk through more effective food distribution.
