The NAF Ball 2021
November 19, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - November 20, 2021 @ 1:30 am EST
*Previously known as the PSB. The first major NAF Ball was held on January 10, 1944, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel with 1,200 guests. The Ball honored HRH Princess Juliana, who received “the Annual Award of the NAF” from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. The gala dinner was called “The Netherland-America Foundation Ball”. From this celebratory centennial year forward, we are adopting the “NAF Ball” name once again.

The NAF Ball (previously known as the PSB*) is an annual elegant and festive black-tie event at which diplomatic envoys and influential leaders and friends of the Dutch-American community from both sides of the pond come together in support of the NAF’s crucial and vital activities. Our popular post-Ball Nightclub will again take place at Freddy’s Heineken Bar.
The NAF Ball is the single largest source of funding for the NAF, the foremost bilateral foundation initiating and supporting high-impact exchanges between the Netherlands and the United States.
Your participation will support our commitment to two important programs of the NAF:
- Education, through the NAF-Fulbright Fellowships awarded to highly talented Dutch and American students pursuing graduate-level studies at universities in each other’s countries. The NAF currently provides 12 Open Study/Research awards, 1 specialized award in Pediatric Cancer Research, and 1 specialized award in Flood Management.
- Culture, through grants to emerging and established visual and performing artists, architects and designers, writers, historians and translators and for historic preservation, to increase the exchange of talent between the United States and the Netherlands.
