Johannes van de Pol Student Exchange Fund
STUDY IN THE UNITED STATES
The Johannes van de Pol Student Exchange Fund supports law students from Leiden University who wish to study in the United States for one semester. Grants of up to $5,000 help make this international experience possible for students who need financial support.
Studying abroad allows you to broaden your academic perspective, experience a new culture, and take an important step in your personal and professional development.
Students can apply through Leiden University by contacting their Outgoing Exchange Coordinator.
WHO CAN APPLY
You may be eligible if you:

Are a bachelor’s or master’s student at Leiden University

Are enrolled in the Faculty of Law
-
Plan to study in the United States for one semester

Receive aanvullende beurs from DUO or can demonstrate financial need
Applications are evaluated based on financial need, motivation, and academic performance. Selected candidates may be invited for a virtual interview.
NAF Grant for University of Amsterdam Students
STUDY ABROAD WITH NAF SUPPORT
The Netherland-America Foundation provides grants of up to $5,000 to bachelor’s and master’s students at the University of Amsterdam who wish to study in the United States for one semester. This grant helps students gain international academic experience and pursue their goals abroad.
Interested students can apply through the International Office of their faculty at the University of Amsterdam.
