Michael Enthoven was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of Eneco Groep N.V. in 2018 for the duration of the privatization of the group. Prior to Eneco, he served as chairman of the board of the state agency NL Financial Investments (NLFI). Michael also was the government commissioner at both Fortis and ABN AMRO.
Mr. Enthoven started his career in 1976 at the US bank J.P. Morgan, where he ultimately became Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. After working as a consultant for several years, he became chairman of the executive board and CEO of NIB Capital, and later of NIBC Holding. Mr. Enthoven received a law degree from the University of Leiden, eventually going on to work as a public prosecutor and as a deputy judge at the District Court of The Hague.
