Florien Bouwmeester is a Managing Director with PFM Financial Advisors LLC www.pfm.com, which provides financial advisory services to not for profit and public sector organizations across the country. Key clients include: state & local governments, higher education, healthcare, transportation, public power authorities, environmental utilities, state revolving funds, housing authorities, sports/leisure/cultural facilities. She joined PFM as part of the firm’s acquisition of Melio & Company, a premier healthcare advisory firm. At PFM, Florien co-leads the healthcare advisory practice and has over 25 years of experience covering not-for-profit healthcare providers. Before working as a managing director at Melio & Company, she was an executive director with JPMorgan’s Commercial Bank. She served as the credit executive responsible for the portfolio of healthcare, higher education, and other non-profit clients in the Northeast and MidAtlantic regions. In this role, she oversaw the management and credit approval processes related to the portfolio; supervised negotiation and execution of financing terms; and engaged in frequent discussions with senior level management on financing needs and structuring parameters. Prior to joining JPMorgan’s Commercial Bank, Florien held positions at Kaufman Hall, Financial Guaranty Insurance Company, and Moody’s Investors Service, covering not-for-profit healthcare clients nationwide. She began her career in the public finance investment banking division of JPMorgan.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in East Lansing, Michigan, Florien received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and her MBA from Columbia University in New York. She currently resides in New York’s Hudson Valley region.
