NAF Cultural Grant awardee Sarah Cameron Sunde is performing her water project 36.5/ a durational performance with the sea on Monday, August 10 7:45 am – 8:45 pm near Hotel Savoy at the Oude Rijn river in Katwijk aan Zee. She will stand in the sea for a full cycle of the ocean’s tide (13 hours!) to raise awareness about climate change and rising sea levels. She encourages the public to participate and stand with her, for a few minutes or even a few hours. Click here to register.
During SAIL Amsterdam (August 19-23), Sarah Cameron Sunde is performing another project featuring a projection on buildings in several locations: Marineterrein, Pakhuis de Zwijger, de Oude Kerk and the Apple Arts Centre. Go by and visit! The theme of the project evolves around rising ocean levels. This project was made possible, in part, by a NAF Cultural Grant.
