In this talk, we’ll explore the intersection of Dutch culture and its past currency – the guilder. From 1966 until 1985, Ootje Oxenaar worked for the Nederlandsche Bank, where he designed two series of
banknotes. For many Dutch-Americans, and citizens of the world, these banknotes hold a special place in their hearts.
Come learn about the story of these notes in a presentation by his partner, Dawn Oxenaar Barrett, President of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
The presentation will be preceded by a small reception with wine and cheese.
