JOINT EVENT OF THE NAF BOSTON AND THE EERSTE NEDERLANDSE SCHOOL in BOSTON (ENSiB)
To celebrate that the Dutch community is slowly returning to Boston, and the kids preparing to go back to school again, we are planning a family picnic where there will be opportunity for the children to play and for the big boys and girls to play soccer. This is a great opportunity for newcomers to meet the Dutch community in Boston.
The picnic will be held at the 50 acre Danehy Park in the Cambridge Fresh Pond area, within walking distance of the Alewife T Station. After crossing the bridge across the railroad tracks, the park is on the left behind the Fresh Pond Mall. There are several parking lots.
We will meet near the “Tot Lot” and picnic tables near the soccer fields. It is a public park, and this is the USA, so no alcoholic beverages.
Bring your own food, drinks, blankets, chairs, frisbees, balls etc. Sharing of food is encouraged.
There is a “Dog Park” for those who bring their dogs.
There are several fields for a relaxed game of soccer. When registering, please indicate whether you want to participate in the soccer activities so we can plan teams ahead.
Please register with your email address, so we will be able to contact you if bad weather is forecast.
