Hans van Alebeek

Hans van Alebeek is Vice President, Global Procurement and Shared Services, Nike, Inc., based in Oregon.  He has held a variety of worldwide leadership roles with oversight of Supply Chain, Technology, Procurement and Shared Services.  Hans joined Nike in 1999 in the Netherlands as the Director of Operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa.  Over his tenure Hans has seen Nike grow from $9 billion to over $30 billion bringing “innovation and inspiration to every athlete* in the world.”

Besides his role at Nike, Hans also serves as the Honorary Consul for the Netherlands in Portland and a Board Member of the World Affairs Council of Oregon.  Prior to Nike, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles and Amsterdam, where he worked as an advisor to Fortune 500 companies.  Hans started his career at N.V. Indivers, an aerospace manufacturing firm, as a business analyst in Amsterdam, Dallas and Los Angeles.

Hans has a degree in Econometrics from Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and an MBA from UCLA.  At UCLA, he also met his wife Azin.  Together they have three children – Alexandra and Katarina, both students at Stanford, and Victor, a sophomore in high school.  Hans is an aspiring athlete, who used to play competitive squash and bridge, and run marathons.  He has since graduated to cycling, golf and skiing.  Hans likes to cook, eat, read and explore the world with his family.
