WELCOME TO THE HOUSTON CHAPTER OF THE NETHERLAND-AMERICA FOUNDATION

The NAF Houston was established in 2018, evolving from the previously established Netherlands American Chamber of Commerce – Texas Chapter (NACCTX), which evolved from existing activities and initiatives from the Netherlands Texas Business Association (NTBA) and the diplomatic mission of the Netherlands in the United States in Houston, Texas.

Historically, the chapter has worked closely with local chambers of commerce and other important government agencies that promote business opportunities in Texas. The chapter maintains outstanding contacts in the Netherlands with Dutch and American private and government organizations to create a platform with maximum exposure on both sides of the ocean for members.

Through the centuries, the Netherlands and US economic partnerships have created jobs, sound investments, and promising opportunities. The Netherlands is a fixture in the top five of the largest foreign investors in the United States and maintains its place as the No. 1 destination for American investments. The US has a $30 billion trade surplus with the Netherlands, as it exports $59.3 billion to the Netherlands and imports $29 billion from the Netherlands. Top US exporters to the Netherlands include Texas, California, Louisiana, Illinois and Washington. The Houston Chapter is an open forum with the sole purpose of exchanging knowledge and experience for and between its members. It is a meeting point for people to talk and share interests and solutions and where networking is easy and effective.

The NAF Houston Chapter sees an opportunity to become a channel for the educational and internship engagements between the Dutch and Greater Houston-based companies and Universities.
